I had a month off from university for Easter, so I came to my home county of Kent to spend time with family, friends and to do some exploring. I had a really lovely holiday, and thought I'd share some of my photos with you.






















I'm getting used to my camera now so I'd like to feature a bit more of my photography on here when I take some nice photos, sorry if it's a bit boring but I enjoy showcasing my photos. I love reading blogs where they're really photo/lifestyle based at the moment, so that's what I want to blog about currently! I don't think they'll replace my more chatty Saturday posts, but I might do some more bonus posts like this one because I think they're really fun!

This is just a little bonus post, I'll be back on Saturday with a Spring fashion wish list!

This week's song of the week is Seasons by Olly Murs. I've listened to it a lot over the last few weeks, and thought it finally deserved a mention.

Olly is a really down to earth, lovely guy from Essex, England, who was a finalist in the 6th season of the X Factor. His songs are really catchy and fun to sing along to, and this one is no exception.

It would be a gorgeous blue dress, pretty heels, with some white gold jewellery and diamonds!

My song of the week this week is Air Guitar by McBusted. I've loved the Mcfly and Busted boys for years (I remember being very upset when Busted split up).

This song is great, puts a huge smile on my face whenever I listen to it. I loved the Mcfly boys and Busted when they were together, so having the two bands in one is a dream come true. I wish I could go and see them!

Hi there! Sorry for the silence on the blog this week, my boyfriend came to stay so I was unable to write this week's SOTW post. I did, however, create an About Me page which details a bit more about why I started my blog, so if you're interested then check it out here!

I also set up a Facebook page where I'm going to post all my updates (it currently has no likes so if you're feeling nice it'd be lovely if you went over there to check it out and like it!). It'd be great if I could have conversations with you all about what you'd like to see on this space, and to get to know you better, so please go check it out! I've been wearing makeup regularly for a couple of years now, and the thing I've struggled with the most is choosing the right foundation for me. It's so hard to find something that matches my skin tone (I'm the palest person I know, ask anyone who knows me and they'd agree, I'm like a vampire!). I find it really difficult to find foundation light enough for my skin, and also to find some that sits well on my oily/combination skin. Through trial and error (lots and lots of error), I've found that Rimmel is a brand I can always rely on to deliver in terms of base products.

I thought I'd do a comparison on the Wake Me Up and Lasting Finish Nude foundations for you, as I feel as though they both have different roles and give me a different look.

Similarities between the foundations

I've felt a bit out of shape recently. I've not been doing as much exercise as I should be, especially seeing as I spend a lot of my day sat in front of my computer doing revision or blogging or social media or just browsing the internet. I lead a pretty sedentary lifestyle, and wasn't happy with it, so I decided I needed to make some sort of workout regime.

I own a Wii and Wii Fit+, which are great for getting going with working out. Yes, I know it's not the most intense workout, but working out with my Wii is at least fun and free and I can do it in the comfort and privacy of my living room as often as I want. I really enjoy it, especially the yoga workouts.

With the Wii, you can do individual yoga poses, or it makes routines for however long you want, or you can make your own routines. The routine I have made includes poses such as sun salutation, palm tree, warrior pose and more.

I find yoga really fun to do, it's really relaxing and calming, and I've definitely felt a lot fitter since I've started doing it. I can already feel myself improving which is great. It's really rewarding being able to stretch further and hold poses for longer.

This week my song of the week is Hold My Hand by Jess Glynne. I like other songs she's done (Real Love, Right Here etc), and this one is really fun to sing along to when it comes on the radio. I've been a bit bored of the music in the charts recently, so this song has given me something new to enjoy!

Favourite Disney character

For me, happiness is Disney movies and magic and that perfect cup of tea, freshly made cookies and my dog and pretty nail polish. It’s those little things like people saying they miss me, or that something they saw/heard made them think of me. Even things as simple as baking and spring flowers make me happy. There are so many little things in the world that cause happiness, we just have to stop and appreciate them more...

Yesterday my mum and I went to go and see the new live-action Cinderella at the cinema. It was super nice to go out with my mum, as I've not done that much since I moved to uni. It was an absolutely incredible film, the costumes were outstanding, and I loved Kit ;) I spent the whole time wishing I was Lily James, I can't think of anything better than being cast as a Disney princess. She was amazing, I loved her in Downton Abbey and she certainly didn't disappoint in this either!


I loved the message of this, of always having courage and being kind. Definitely something that's had a lasting impression on me, and one I'm going to try to keep in mind in the future.

Kenneth Branagh was the director, and he did a fantastic job. I loved him in Much Ado About Nothing, and he did brilliantly making this magical story come to life.
