Wow it has been a long time since I've done a favourites post! My last one was way back at the end of November, so I figured I was well overdue an update, and thought I'd tell you all the things I've been loving this month!

My first favourite is a book, which is Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell (who actually liked my tweet recently so I got very excited lol). I've read a few of her books before and absolutely loved them every time, so it didn't take me long to get into this book. I adored the characters and I was absolutely gutted when it ended because I completely fell in love with the story.

In terms of makeup favourites this month my first favourite is the Makeup Revolution baked highlighter in Golden Lights. This is a lovely shimmery champagne highlighter, it's so pigmented that it needs a light hand so as to not look like a glitterball. My only gripe with this product is the packaging, it feels quite flimsy, and the writing on the front is already coming off only after about a month of having it!

Another product from Makeup Revolution is the blush palette in Blush Queens. I really like this, it's really subtle, and a couple of the shades make really natural highlighters. I do wish there were one or two matte shades in this palette, but this one is so gorgeous I don't mind! I use almost every colour on it apart from the darkest one. I have my eye on the Hot Spice blush palette next, and also on the I Heart Makeup Blushing Hearts.

My next favourite is the MUA Hall of Fame eyeshadow palette. There are some great shimmery (but not chunky) shades, the pigmentation is really nice, and they don't crease much at all either. It was such a cheap palette, and I'm definitely going to get some more! A few on my list are the LUXE eyeshadow palette in Utopia (which looks absolutely stunning), and also the palette called Romantic Efflorescence. They're such good value for money, I can't wait to try these out! Let me know if you have any recommendations from MUA, or from any of the other brands I've mentioned, as I'm in the market for some new makeup!

A couple of months ago I upgraded my phone (only to an iPhone 5S so don't get too excited), and I'm so happy with it, it's so much faster than my old one and my apps work quicker and it's just generally a really great phone and a great size, it's fast and the photo quality is great, perfect for out and about photos. Going along with the phone theme, I've been loving snapchat this month, it's been a great way to document my year, and I do love the odd snapchat filter! I also have a couple of app favourites this month, the first being Instagram (if you don't follow me then click here!), I've posted quite a few pictures this month. I've also been loving the game Disney Magic Kingdoms, which (as a hardcore Disney fan) is right up my street!!


I have several song favourites this month, including Wherever I Go // One Republic and This Girl // Kungs & Cookin' On 3 Burners. I'm going to do a June Playlist post in the next few days, so look out for that to see what else I've been listening to this month!

And just like that it's June, I'm thrust into exam season, my social life gets pushed to the back of the queue while I get my exams done. I did manage to fit in some fun things around the revising, so I'll now talk you through this month, and everything I've done! Thankfully I've now finished exams, so I'm currently back home for the summer!

My first exam was on June 4th,  and it actually went rather well. What was better though was the fact that I had a fairly long break between my first and second exams, which meant I could go home for the weekend to attend a Christening I had been invited to, which was absolutely lovely!


                                                           

Then it was back up to uni to prep for my next two exams! During that week I attended the opening night of a play that one of my close friends starred in, which was very funny, and I was extremely proud of him.

                                        

Another break from exam revision was a day spent at BirdWorld in Farnham, which was so fun! I posted a couple of Instagrams about my day so I won't bore you too much with various pictures of birds, but I will say that my highlight was stroking and playing with that little penguin, he was so cute!


Finally my last exam had been written, and it was time to celebrate. I was treated to an amazingly yummy dinner at Prezzo (if you haven't been there try the banoffee tiramisu, which is one of my favourite things on the menu), and then me and the boy went for a couple of cocktails at a place called Turtle Bay (Caribbean pimms and the frozen strawberry daiquiri are my faves!)

Then I attended a birthday party for one of my friends, which is always good fun. I loved my outfit, loved my makeup, and it was a nice way to say bye to everyone before the summer.






And then my second year at uni had come to an end. It was time to go home for the summer. It's been so nice to be home as I was starting to get really homesick. I've not had the best living arrangements at university this year and I was quite unhappy in my house, so being home to reset and recharge my batteries has been just what I've needed. Missed my family and my dog so much (and plus it's nice to always have food in the fridge!)

Hello!

So music is one of my main passions in life, so I figured I'd dedicate a blog post to some of the songs/artists I've been loving this month, in the hopes you can discover someone new. Please feel free to share your favourite artists/songs from this month in the comments! :)

In no particular order:

1. Think About It // American Authors. I've been really liking the Oh, What A Life album for a while now, and often listened to it on the way to school in the mornings because it's one of those feel good, happy songs that made me feel a bit happier to be heading to sixth form.
2. Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High // Arctic Monkeys. This is a chill out song, is really catchy, and is good for downtime. I really enjoy their songs, but haven't delved very deep into listening to many of them yet, which I definitely need to do.
3. Rather Be // Clean Bandit. One of the songs of the summer. So catchy, fun, and one that I'm always humming along to. Love it.
4. A Sky Full of Stars // Coldplay. I've loved Coldplay for years, and have had the opportunity to see them live on their Mylo Xyloto tour. This song is my favourite one from their album, and I love it. So catchy!
5. Come On Eileen // Dexy's Midnight Runners. I adore this song, it's probably my favourite 80s track. It puts such a smile on my face, and I always sing along to it at the top of my lungs whenever I hear it!
6. I Got You // Duke Dumont ft Jax Jones. Another summer anthem, absolutely loving it, although it's slightly overplayed now :/
7. Halcyon // Ellie Goulding. Rediscovered this song, I really love it. The whole album is amazing!
8. Sugar, We're Going Down // Fall Out Boy. I've recently become obsessed with Fall Out Boy, I'd always liked some of their songs, but this one is pretty much on constant replay!
9. Round and Round // Imagine Dragons. I discovered Imagine Dragons when It's Time came out, but then forgot about them after downloading their Continued Silence EP and their Night Visions album, but have rediscovered the Continued Silence EP, particularly this song.
10. Hideaway // Kiesza. Just a really catchy song, really enjoying it atm!
11. Waves (Robin Schulz Remix) // Mr. Probs. Again, summer song, just puts me in that summer mood.
12. Life in Colour // OneRepublic. I'm obsessed with them, and this is one of my favourites on the Natives album. They're all so good tho. Check it out.
13. Happy // Pharrell. So overplayed, but this month I have loved it. Even though I'm bored of it now :P
14. Fred Astaire // San Cisco. Love this, it comes on at work all the time :D so catchy, check it out!
15. Empire // Shakira. Such a woman crush of mine. I love this song, and she's gorgeous!
16. She Looks So Perfect // 5 Seconds of Summer. Saw them live opening for 1D, and this was the first song of theirs I heard. Also love Good Girls and Amnesia :D
17. Settle Down // The 1975. I love their sound, it's so great to just chill & unwind to :D
